I have tried a few different credit card payment methods for my business and my previous business, from actually receiving a merchant system from a bank to trying PayPal, online accounting softwares, and more.
I think for any business owner or entrepreneur, we need to look at the books and the facts to make the best choice of how we will receive an online payment if perhaps our client or costumer wants to pay that way.
For myself, and my business, I am finding that it is much more affordable to accept payments via a online system that charges you per transaction vs. charging you monthly if you are just starting up.
I think down the road having a merchant system set up would be great because it would not only help the flow of the business but also be more profitable in the long run once your business has created a steady flow of customers or clientele.
For now, I'm going to stick to the old fashioned way of accepting payment by cash or e-transfer.
Elise's wedding is coming up and we needed to perfect the hairstyle for her, so we decided after the first hair trial that I would do another one for her, because neither her nor I were completely satisfied with the look. I'm glad that we did, because after her second hairstyle trial, I was able to nail the look she was going for, and you can see below on my Instagram post.
It is so important as a hairstylist to make sure my clients are happy with the hairstyle they have, because I not only want to exceed their expectations but also give them the best look suited for them. Taking into account their hair type, facial features, dress, and hair accessories, I can plan ahead to make sure their hairstyle is perfect on the first go. ;)
